The Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC) continues to implement systematic and comprehensive measures to modernize and enhance comfort across its network of sanatoriums and recreational facilities.
Significant improvements have recently been made at the Bilgah Cardiology Sanatorium. In connection with these developments, senior representatives from the Confederation, the Ministry of Health, the Administration of Regional Medical Divisions (TABIB), and members of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) visited the facility to review the completed renovations.
They were informed that extensive upgrades have been carried out, including the refurbishment of the dining hall, cottages, patient rooms, and fountains, along with the landscaping of the surrounding area. Modern infrastructure has been introduced, including Wi-Fi access, IP telephony, advanced lighting systems, and surveillance cameras. Additionally, the sanatorium’s beach area has undergone landscaping and improvement.
Medical treatment and nutrition services at the sanatorium are now fully aligned with contemporary sanatorium standards, ensuring a comprehensive and comfortable experience for guests.
During the visit, the delegation toured the premises and became acquainted with the newly enhanced therapeutic and recreational conditions.
It is worth noting that the Bilgah Cardiology Sanatorium, located on 17.5 hectares of land, has a capacity of 316 beds. Specializing in cardiovascular diseases, it operates year-round. From January 1 to June 30, 2025, the sanatorium provided services to 2,500 trade union members—an increase of 2.3 times compared to the same period in 2024.
