On July 2 Lachin hosted ECO Women's Forum for the first time in the framework of the Week of the Organization of Economic Cooperation.
Delegations of ECO member countries and representatives of international organizations participated in the forum.
The event was organized to promote cross-sectoral cooperation in ECO countries to increase women's opportunities, as well as to strengthen the role of women in the formation of a sustainable, inclusive and sustainable society in the region covered by the organization. Within the framework of the forum, panel sessions were held on the topics of "The role of women in human development for climate resilience", "The role of women in the development of urbanization" and "The role of women in sustainable development".
The sessions exchanged views on the role of women in human development for climate resilience, women's empowerment through education, digital inclusion, innovations and exchange of experiences, and other topics.
The forum was attended by Araz Pashayev, Chairman of the Republican Committee of the Free Trade Union of Education Workers, a member organization of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHIK) and Yusif Aghayev, Acting Rector of the Azerbaijan Academy of Labor and Social Relations.
