A presentation of the e-AHIK electronic reservation system (www.e-ahik.az) was held at the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHIK).
The event highlighted the advantages of the e-AHIK electronic reservation system in issuing referrals. It was noted that the system was developed to ensure accessibility, transparency, and efficiency in the referral issuance process. Through this electronic system, obtaining referral for sanatorium-resort and recreation centers will be easier and more convenient. It was mentioned that once an application is submitted through the e-AHIK system, the applicant receives confirmation, then pays part of the referral cost through a payment link in their personal account. The electronic referral is sent to the applicant’s email address. The individual can then arrive at the designated sanatorium or recreation center on the scheduled date with the electronic referral and an identity card. A presentation on how to use the system was also provided during the event.
Afterwards, a video was shown highlighting the work done, reforms carried out, and innovations implemented in the protection of trade union members’ labor rights, health, and organization of rest.
Detailed information was also provided about the Confederation’s initiatives such as “AHIK Volunteers,” “Decent Work Ambassadors,” “Run Towards Health!,” and “From One Union Member to Another – With Care,” along with a short video clip showcasing these projects.
It was noted that the Confederation will soon launch the “AHIK Plus” program, which offers exclusive discounts and bonuses to union members. The program aims to improve the social welfare of members and provide more affordable access to goods and services.
Following the event, media representatives were introduced to the “Kurort” Tourism Information Center. It was explained that applications submitted through the e-AHIK system are processed at this Center. The media also visited the newly established Center for Labor Protection and Legal Assistance created by the Confederation. It was stated that union members receive free legal assistance on labor relations from labor law and technical inspectors at the Center. The aim is to enhance the protection of union members’ labor, social, and economic rights and legitimate interests, thereby increasing their overall satisfaction.
