The Republican Committee of the Trade Union of State Administrations and Public Service Workers, a member organization of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHIK), held an event on the occasion of Eid al-Adha at the Baku Business Center. About 200 union members and Nigar Vahabzade, advisor to the Chairman of the Confederation, attended the event.
In his speech, Chairman of the Republican Committee Hikmet Nabiyev spoke about the activities of the Azerbaijan Trade Union Confederation and the organization he leads, and noted the measures taken to improve the social welfare of low-income union members. Then, on the occasion of the holiday, the Republican Committee presented 1,000 shopping cards to low-income members.
At the event, Chairman of the United Trade Union Committee of the State Statistics Committee Shikhali Dadashov, Deputy Chairman of the United Trade Union Committee of the Ministry of Defense Shahriyar Azizbeyli, and Chairman of the Sabunchu District Department of the State Statistics Committee Shams Asadova told about the importance of such social initiatives and emphasized that this would further strengthen trust in trade unions.
