During the meetings, Mr. Mammadov provided detailed information on the activities of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation. He highlighted the ongoing efforts within the national trade union system aimed at effectively protecting workers’ labour rights and ensuring decent working conditions.

It was noted that the Confederation is implementing comprehensive reforms aligned with modern challenges and trends. These efforts include the application of innovations and the execution of various projects to enhance the effectiveness of trade union activities.

The ATUC Chairman also discussed the cooperation between Azerbaijan and the ILO within the framework of the “Decent Work Country Programme for 2025–2029.” He emphasized the importance of promoting social dialogue, strengthening the protection of labour rights, advancing gender equality, and supporting a just transition to a sustainable economy.

The meetings underscored the significance of cooperation with the ITUC and ILO, as well as the relevance of their declarations, decisions, and recommendations to the work of trade unions.
