A Cooperation Agreement Signed Between the Azerbaijan Academy of Labour and Social Relations (AALSR) and the Education Development Fund Within the Framework of the StudentPlus Project

On June 4, 2025, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Azerbaijan Academy of Labour and Social Relations (AALSR), operating under the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, and the Education Development Fund under the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The agreement was established within the framework of the StudentPlus project.

Opening the event, Orkhan Arabov, Advisor to the Chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHİK), stated that the cooperation agreement with the Education Development Fund is of great importance in terms of improving students’ social welfare and offering them broader opportunities.

Associate Professor Yusif Agayev, Acting Rector of the Azerbaijan Academy of Labour and Social Relations, noted that the StudentPlus project—supported by Kapital Bank and Visa—provides students with multifunctional benefits. These include university access, scholarship and debit payments, as well as discounts and cashback opportunities in various areas. Emphasizing that the Academy will always support student-oriented initiatives, Yusif Agayev underlined their intention to ensure that the project’s benefits are made as accessible as possible for students.

Elnur Nasibov, Chairman of the Board of the Education Development Fund, highlighted in his speech that the StudentPlus project is an innovative initiative expected to bring significant changes to students’ academic and social lives. He emphasized that through this project, students will benefit from various advantages both in their educational journey and daily lives, becoming more socially and economically active and independent. Nasibov also noted that the Fund aims to expand cooperation with higher education institutions to extend the reach of the StudentPlus card to more students across the country.

Khayala Mammadova, Vice-Rector for International Relations at AALSR, pointed out that this partnership would contribute to the expansion of international cooperation and pave the way for new educational projects.

As part of the event, Aysel Maharramova, Senior Specialist of the Project Management Department at the Education Development Fund, provided participants with detailed information about the StudentPlus card.
