
The Azerbaijan Trade Union Confederation (AHIK) has launched another social project called “Worth Seeing”.
As part of the project, first, metropolitan workers were trained on the topic “Occupational Safety at Work” at the Confederation’s Academy of Labor and Social Relations.
During the training, organized at the Academy’s Center for Advanced Training and Personnel Development, the Confederation’s employees and doctors from Universal Hospital explained the requirements, norms and rules of labor safety legislation to the participants, and provided extensive information on first aid in the event of industrial accidents, occupational diseases, fire safety and other topics. At the end, discussions were held around the topics and questions were answered.
The Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation is also holding a medical examination at the Universal Hospital for metro workers. Within the framework of the project, ophthalmologists of the hospital examined more than 50 people, a total of 100 metropolitan workers are planned to be examined. Those who have problems with the eye are given medical advice, and appropriate procedures are prescribed.
It should be noted that the “Worth Seeing” project will also cover union members working in other fields.
