
On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, an event was organized by the Republican Committee of the Free Trade Union of Education Workers , a member organization of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation. Representatives of the Confederation, the leadership of the Republican Committee, chairmen of district committees and union members participated in the event held at the AHIC's Academy of Labor and Social Relations (AESMA).
The event convened with the playing of the National Anthem and a minute of silence in memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs.
Speaking at the event, Araz Pashayev, Chairman of the Republican Committee, spoke about the work done in the last 8 months and said that more than 13 thousand education workers have been provided with sanatorium-resort and recreational trips. It was noted that these services are provided in a more flexible and accessible form through the "Kurort" Tourism Information Center established by the Confederation on the basis of the "one-stop" principle. In addition, the AHIK Labor Protection and Legal Assistance Center been established, providing professional and completely free legal and psychological services to union members. Araz Pashayev added that the scope of scholarship programs has also been significantly expanded. The "Named Scholarship" project, which previously covered 65 students, has been extended to 400 this year. In addition, 50 students of Karabakh University and 50 female students from socially vulnerable groups will be provided with special scholarships.
Orkhan Arabov Advisor to the AHIK Chairman provided information about the Confederation's social initiatives and the e-AHIK electronic reservation system created for issuing referrals. It was noted that the system was created to ensure accessibility, transparency and efficiency in the process of issuing trips, and it will be possible to obtain trips to sanatoriums, resorts and recreation centers more easily and conveniently through the electronic system.
Yusif Aghayev, acting rector of the Academy, told about the historical and spiritual values of the Eid al-Adha holiday and emphasized the successful results of joint trainings held within the framework of cooperation with the Republican Committe.
Reyhan Ojagova, the chairwoman of the Nasimi district committee, outlined the organization's support initiatives aimed at the families of martyrs and highlighted the opportunities created for their participation in educational programs and recreational projects.
The event continued with a musical program presented by the winners of the artistic competition.
