A meeting was held with the athletes and coaches-teachers of the Association of Trade Unions Sports Organizations of Azerbaijan (AHIITA), which is a subordinate organization of the organization at the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHİK).
At the meeting, Chairman of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan Sahib Mammadov congratulated athletes and coaches for their achievements. Noting that the youth and sports policy founded by great leader Heydar Aliyev is now successfully continued under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, the chairman of the Confederation spoke about the sports achievements of our country. It was noted that as a result of the purposeful policy, Azerbaijan is considered one of the leading countries in the world in terms of the level of development of the sports and Olympic movement.
Noting the invaluable role of sport in ensuring the health of the young generation, raising young people as worthy children to the Motherland, the chairman of the Confederation stressed that one of the main factors contributing to our victory in the 44-day Patriotic War under the leadership of Mr. President, victorious Supreme Commander-in-chief Ilham Aliyev is our healthy-spirited.
Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation also contributes to the successful sports and youth policy implemented in our country, the athletes of AHIITA show high results in national and international competitions and win medals.
Then the director of AHIITA Tural Gasimov gave detailed information about the results of the athletes.
Fatima Jabrayilova, who won the gold medal at the 15th European Karate Championship held in Romania, thanked on behalf of the athletes for their attention and support and noted that they were preparing for the upcoming competitions and expressed their determination to win.
Ceyhun Rustamov and Akif Aliyev, coaches-teachers of AHIITA on Boxing and Greco-Roman wrestling, spoke about the sports policy of our state and the conditions created for the training of athletes at AHIITA.
At the end, the athletes and coaches-teachers were awarded certificates and awards for their high results.
