The Academy of Labor and Social Relations of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHIK) hosted a meeting with the leadership of the University of Koс Türkiye.
The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Confederation Sahib Mammadov, Rector of Koch University Metin Sitti, Rector of the Baku Higher Oil School Elmar Gasimov, Acting Rector of the Academy of Labor and Social Relations Yusif Agayev, as well as the academic and faculty staff of the Academy.
Sahib Mammadov, the Chairman of the AHIK highlighted the favorable conditions created for the activities of trade unions in our country, and emphasized the special attention and care shown by the Head of State Mr. Ilham Aliyev to trade unions. It was noted that the role of trade unions in protecting labor rights is being further strengthened by developing social partnership relations in our country. Bearing in mind the importance of establishing relations between Koç University and the Academy of Labor and Social Relations, the Chairman of the Confederation drew attention to the opportunities for mutual exchange of experience, organization of trainings and cooperation in other areas.
Metin Sitti, Rector of Koc University expressed his satisfaction with the meeting and spoke about the prospects for implementing joint projects with the Academy of Labor and Social Relations in the fields of education and scientific research. Yusif Aghayev, Acting Rector of the Academy, told about the activities of the higher education institution, the reforms carried out to improve the quality of education, and provided information about the goals and objectives of the newly established Center for Advanced Training and Personnel Development under the Academy.
Elmar Gasimov, Rector of Baku Higher Oil School, emphasized the advanced programs, teaching and training experience of Koç University and shared his views on the importance of establishing mutually beneficial relations with higher education institutions operating in our country.
At the meeting, an agreement was reached on signing a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Academy of Labor and Social Relations of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation and Koç University of Turkey.
