“Graduation Day” was held at the Azerbaijan Academy of Labor and Social Relations of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHIK).
The event was attended by graduates who completed their bachelor's and master's degrees in the 2024/2025 academic year, the leadership of the Confederation and member organizations, state officials, deputies of the Milli Majlis, the Academy's teaching staff, and parents.
First, the National Anthem was played, and the dear memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity and independence of Azerbaijan was commemorated with a minute of silence.
Then, a video titled “Thank you, Academy” was screening.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the Azerbaijan Confederation of Trade Unions Sahib Mammadov congratulated the graduates and spoke about the attention and care of our state for youth and the education sector. It was noted that the purposeful youth and education policy formulated by the National Leader of our people Heydar Aliyev is currently being successfully continued by Mr. President Ilham Aliyev, and systematic measures are being taken to train young people as highly qualified personnel and realize their potential. Various social and innovative projects implemented in the field of science and education at the initiative of First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva play an important role in the personal and professional development of young people.
Noting that the Azerbaijan Academy of Labor and Social Relations has identified personnel training in accordance with the requirements of the modern labor market as a priority direction, the Chairman of the Confederation highlighted the work currently being done to further improve the quality of education at the higher education institution.
Sahib Mammadov called on the graduates to contribute to the development of our state with the knowledge and skills they have acquired, to constantly learn and to make diligence a way of life.
Yusif Aghayev, acting rector of the academy, spoke about the successes of students and graduates, and provided information about the achievements of the higher education institution in recent years, expanding international relations and educational programs. It was emphasized that the key goal is to prepare highly qualified personnel who can quickly master new technologies and acquire practical knowledge and skills.
Congratulating the graduates, Yusif Aghayev advised them to be useful to our country, to constantly work on themselves and to increase their level of professionalism. Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Rashad Mustafayev, Chairman of the Human Rights Committee of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) Zahid Oruj and MP Samir Valiyev congratulated the graduates and expressed their belief that they will achieve success in their personal careers in the future and contribute to the socio-economic development of our country by combining the theoretical knowledge they have gained with practical skills.
The graduates of the Academy - Vafa Hajiyeva and Orkhan Rahmanov - shared their memories of their student years. They said that the knowledge and skills they gained here created a solid foundation for their future professional activities and that thanks to this knowledge they will move forward more confidently towards the goals they set for themselves.
After the speeches, a ceremony was held to award the graduates. The leadership of the Azerbaijan Confederation of Trade Unions, state officials and deputies participating in the event presented 189 graduates of the Academy with honorary certificates and commendations.
Then an artistic program was presented. The graduates congratulated each other to the sounds of classical and modern music and took a commemorative photo.
