A mini football tournament has officially commenced among the institutes of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), organized by the ANAS Free Trade Union (FTU), a member organization of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHIK). The event is dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s birth and the 80th anniversary of the Academy.
The opening ceremony began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Delivering remarks at the event, President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbayli, emphasized the profound contributions of National Leader Heydar Aliyev to the advancement of science in Azerbaijan, particularly his unwavering support for ANAS and the development of the nation's scientific potential.
Chairman of the ANAS Free Trade Union, Mr. Senan Hasanov, addressed the gathering by highlighting the trade union's commitment to socially-oriented initiatives and outlined future projects aimed at supporting academic and professional communities.
Following the opening speeches, the mini football tournament was officially declared open and matches commenced.
