The 6th Congress of the Azerbaijan Oil and Gas Industry Workers' Trade Union (ANGSIHI), a member organization of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, was held. Representatives of trade union members working in the oil, gas and chemical industries from different regions of the country attended the Congress.
In accordance with the agenda of the event, first, a report on the activities of the Union for the past period was heard. Then, a report on the activities of the Union's Control and Inspection Commission was presented. The reports were considered satisfactory by the participants and approved. Also, additions and amendments were made to various regulatory documents of the Union and adopted in a new edition.
Elections to the governing bodies of the Union were held within the framework of the Congress. At the same time, representatives of ANGSIHI to the Assembly and Executive Committee of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation were elected.
A video covering the values, mission, strategic vision and goals of ANGSIHI was screening at the Congress. The video highlights the launch of digital transformation within the Union, the establishment of direct communication with member organizations and members of the trade union in the coming years, social projects, and initiatives aimed at the welfare of employees.
Speaking at the event, the Head of the Staff of the AHIK, Hasan Jafarov, highly praised the activities of the trade union and wished success to the newly elected leadership.
