The Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation held a meeting with representatives of the Public Union of the Entrepreneurs and Industrialists of Turkey and Azerbaijan (TÜIB).
The meeting discussed the current fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey, cooperation between our countries in all areas.
Sahib Mammadov, Chairman of the Confederation stressed that the words of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev "One nation, two states" and the founder of the Turkish Republic Mustafa Kemal Ataturk "Joy of Azerbaijan is our joy, sadness is our sadness" are the highest value of centuries-old fraternal relations between our peoples. It was noted that relations between the two countries, based on solid foundations, are at the highest stage of their development through the joint efforts of Mr. President Ilham Aliyev and Mr. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The Chairman of the Confederation underlined that today's meeting is an additional opportunity to further strengthen the spirit of friendship and cooperation between the two states.
The meeting also provided information on the work done to protect labor rights, create decent working conditions, protect the health of members, effectively organize treatment and recreation, reforms carried out in the trade union system, applied innovations, and implemented projects. It was specified that the projects implemented by the Confederation, along with the effective protection of labor rights, make significant contributions to the development of the labor market and the improvement of the working environment.
Sahib Mammadov, who highlighted that the Confederation attaches special importance to cooperation with the private sector, said that they are interested in establishing and developing relations with the Public Union of the Businessmen and Industrialists of Turkey and Azerbaijan, which has more than 100 members.
Also, at the event, videos about the activities of the Confederation and the projects it has implemented were shown, and detailed information was provided about the e-AHİK electronic reservation system and the "AHİK Plus" program, which will be kicked-off in the near future. Hüseyin Büyükfırat, Chairman of the Public Union of Turkey and Azerbaijan Businessmen and Industrialists, emphasized the Azerbaijani-Turkish friendship and expressed his satisfaction with the work done to gradually strengthen our relations. Hüseyin Büyükfırat, who highly appreciated the reforms carried out in the Azerbaijani trade union system and the innovations applied, spoke about the activities of the organization he leads and voiced his proposals on establishing relations with the Confederation and launching joint projects.
The directions of cooperation were discussed at the meeting.
