An event on “Green Harmony: nature and gender” was held in Absheron National Park within the framework of “Constitution and sovereignty year” with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, Small and Medium Business Development Agency, Pirallahi District Executive Power, Republican Union of Agricultural, Ecological and Water Resources Workers' Trade Unions, "ecosphere" Public Union.
Deputies of the National Assembly, employees of these institutions, entrepreneurs, schoolchildren, volunteers, NGOs( Non-governmental organization) and public representatives attended the event, which was held in order to evaluate harmony between nature and society through the prism of gender equality, increase public awareness on the concepts of social justice and environmental responsibility, contribute to the formation of a society model aimed at protecting nature and eliminating gender stereotypes.
Chairman of the Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs of the National Assembly Hijran Huseynova, chairman of the Committee on Natural Resources, Energy and Ecology Sadig Gurbanov, Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Umayra Tagiyeva, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency Samir Humbatov, deputy chairman of the State Committee for Family, Women and, Telman Guliyev, deputy chairman of the Republican Union of Agricultural, Ecological and Water Resources Workers' Trade Unions, emphasized the relevance and importance of the topic of nature and gender, as well as the fact that these two areas are complementary factors.
Within the framework of the event, educational training on the topic “gender and environment in the legislative aspect”, interactive sessions on the environment, master classes for schoolchildren were organized. At the same time, an exhibition-sale Fair of environmentally friendly products was held in the open air.
