
The Academy of Labor and Social Relations of the Azerbaijan Trade Union Confederation (AHIK) hosted an International Scientific Conference “Conceptual Foundations of Sustainable, Inclusive and Social Policy” dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of the birth of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
The conference, held in a hybrid format, was attended by employees of higher education institutions and research institutes of our country. Representatives from prestigious universities in Turkey, Great Britain, Germany, Poland, Ukraine and Uzbekistan also participated in the conference online.
The event was organized with the aim of analyzing policy models based on the principles of sustainable development and social justice, inclusive management on a scientific basis, as well as studying international experience.
First, the National Anthem was played, and the dear memory of the founder of modern Azerbaijan, Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, and our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of our country was commemorated with a minute of silence.
Yusif Aghayev, acting rector of the Azerbaijan State University of Labor and Social Relations, spoke about the relevance of the conference theme and noted the importance of sustainable development, inclusiveness and social policy in responding to the important challenges facing modern societies.
It was noted that the ideas of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev still constitute the basic principles of the successful socio-economic development of Azerbaijan and its policy based on the human factor. Yusif Aghayev emphasized the importance of trade unions in expanding social dialogue in the country and regulating labor relations.
Orkhan Arabov, advisor to the chairman of the AHIK, specified that the event is an important platform where science and experience come together. He drew attention to the importance of such events in strengthening the scientific potential of the country and developing the knowledge and skills of young people.
The conference continued with panel discussions on the topics of “Sustainable development and competitive economy”, “Inclusive and socially just society” and “Human potential and modern innovations”.
