
On April 27, a running race was held in Ganja city as part of the “Run towards Health!” project, initiated and organized by the Republican Committee of the Healthcare Workers’ Trade Union (ASİHIRK), a member organization of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHIK).
First, the organizers and participants of the project visited the monument to the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev in Ganja city and laid flowers in front of it, paying tribute to his memory. The National Anthem was also played at the event, and a minute of silence was observed in memory of our martyrs.
Healthcare workers from Ganja city, Goygol, Dashkesan, Samukh, Shamkir, Agstafa, Gadabay, Gazakh, Tovuz and Kalbajar districts, as well as students of Ganja Medical College, participated in the 5,000-meter race.
In the end, 3 men and 3 women who won were awarded. At the same time, the winners earned the right to participate in the final competition to be held in Khankendi.
In the artistic part of the event, the performance of the “Lalelar” dance group, consisting of students of Ganja Medical College, and a flash mob were greeted with applause by the audience.
It should be noted that the competitions dedicated to June 17 - Medical Workers' Professional Day - aim to effectively organize medical workers' leisure time, promote physical health, and strengthen solidarity among trade union members.
