The delegation of the Confederation, led by the Chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation Sahib Mammadov, participated in the Congress of the Organization of Trade Unions of Turkic States (TDHIT) held in Ankara.
The delegation of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation visited the mausoleum Anıtkabir where the founder of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, was buried and the monument to the National Leader Heydar Aliyev at Heydar Aliyev Park in Ankara, and laid flowers in front of it, paying tribute to his memory.
Opening the TDHIT Congress with an opening speech, Chairman of the Trade Unions Federation of Uzbekistan Gudratulla Rafigov spoke about the work done by trade unions in the direction of further strengthening relations between Turkish states, and spoke about the TDHIT activities in this area.
Speaking in the Congress, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation Sahib Mammadov highlighted that the words of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev "One nation, two states," which are of particular importance for Azerbaijan and Turkey, as well as the entire Turkic world, are a road map for deepening our relations. It was brought to the attention that the historical victory of Azerbaijan in the Patriotic War under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Mr. President Ilham Aliyev is an important event in strengthening solidarity in the Turkic world and continuous measures are being taken to deepen our relations.
Speaking about labor market trends, the Chairman of the Confederation outlined that Congress is a favorable platform for the implementation of joint projects, the relevance of preparing joint training programs, as well as further areas of joint activities in order to take preventive measures to address problems in terms of the impact of digitalization and artificial intelligence on this area.
The event also heard speeches by the President of TDHIT, Chairman of TÜRK-İŞ Ergun Atalay, Chairman of the Kyrgyzstan Trade Unions Federation Muradil Jumadilden and Chairman of the Kazakhstan Trade Unions Federation Satybalda Dauletali.
Former Prime Minister of Turkey, Chairman of the TDT Council of Elders Binali Yildirim spoke about the importance of solidarity of the Turkic world and wished success in the work of the Congress.
The congress discussed amendments to the the TDHIT, Charter and the duties of the Executive Committee in the coming period and other issues, and reviewed organizational issues. Sahib Mammadov, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation as Vice-President , Hasan Jafarov, Head of the the AHIK Office, as the TDHIT Acting Vice-President, and Advisors to the AHIK Chairman Fuad Alakbarov, as Deputy Secretary General, Mammad Hasanov, as a Member of the Audit Commission, and Elkiyar Ziyadov, as an Alternate Member of the Audit Commission.
It should be noted that TDHIT was established in 2023 and unites trade unions of Azerbaijan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
