The Congress of the Federation of Trade Unions of Trade, Public Catering, Cooperative, Health Centers, Tourism, Sports, Hotel Management, Fishing and Other Service Sectors Workers' Unions of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a member organization of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, was held.
First, the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played, and the memory of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and our heroes who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland was commemorated with a minute of silence. At the event, information was provided on the work done since the last congress, reports of the Mandate and Inspection Commissions were listened to. Then, the issues on the agenda were discussed, and relevant decisions were made.
By a majority vote of the Congress representatives, Fuad Alekperov was elected Chairman of the Federation of Trade, Public Catering, Cooperative, Health Centers, Tourism, Sports, Hotel Management, Fishing and Other Service Sectors Workers' Unions of the Republic.of Azerbaijan.
It should be noted that Fuad Alakbarov received a degree in linguistics from the Azerbaijan University of Languages, a bachelor's degree in law from the Moscow International University, and a master's degree in economics from the University of Illinois in the United States.
He has over 20 years of work experience in international organizations and the private sector. He is fluent in English and Russian.
